This year I aim to complete a 188km stage of the Tour de France.  It is an Alpine stage, finishing at the legendary Alpe d' Huez. The route takes in two serious cols, Izoard (2,360m) and Lauteret (2,060m), with over 3,500m of vertical climbing, before finshishing after 21 turns at the top of Alpe d'Huez (1,860m).  

I am doing this as part of a sponsorship drive for O2e - a group of ordinary people committed to doing extraordinary things to raise money for seriously and terminally ill children (see the website at www.o2e.org for the list of charities). Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
