Story
Along with Mark and our dogs, we are participating in the 5K Dog Jog (we will run it to make it harder for us! Haha!) in Ipswich on 31st August 2019 to raise much needed funds and awareness for Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK.
This is a charity very close to my heart as my wife has suffered from Pulmonary Hypertension for the last 11 years and the PHA UK has supported Tess throughout her diagnosis and her life of living with PH. They have done so much for Tess and myself, and I would love to give something back to them and to support their PH targets as a charity.
Although Tess always has a smile on her face and a positive outlook on life in reality this is a totally different story when living with PH.
Pulmonary hypertension is a very rare lung disorder in which the blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries rises far above normal levels in time putting abnormal strain on the heart. This causes frequent shortness of breath, severe fatigue and other health complications. Looking at Tess you wouldn't think it but herself and others alike are facing these challenges on a daily basis and without charitable injections the research into finding a cure just can't be carried out.
