Story
Hi,
I’m Noah, I’m 9 and I’ve decided I’d like to fundraise to support families in the Ukraine who are currently suffering. I am planning to walk a HUGE 10 miles from my home in Bath to Bradford on Avon on Sunday 8th May and with your help hopefully raise vital money for ActionAid.
I’ve never done anything like this before but really want to do something to help people who are losing their homes and lives. If you could sponsor me that would be great. Thank you.
Heavy fighting, shelling and air strikes across Ukraine have had devastating consequences. Over 2 million people, mostly women and children have fled Ukraine, with over 1.2 million crossing the border into Poland, arriving with only what they can carry.
Hungry, tired and traumatised, people are in urgent need of food, water and shelter.
ActionAid is providing emergency support and protection for those forced to flee. Urgent needs include food, water, shelter, hygiene and dignity kits.
With your donations we can help more families affected by this terrible crisis.
Your support will help us provide emergency food, keep families warm and protect women and girls.
- £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month
- £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm
- £100 could provide emergency food for 5 people for one month
