Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are No. 5 Haywards Heath Army Cadets, a group of 13-18 year-old young people and adult volunteers who are part of Sussex Army Cadet Force.
This year, we can't attend our normal Remembrance Parade, nor can we help raise money for The Royal British Legion by selling poppies to the public. Instead, we are choosing to support both of their fundraising activities to help raise money for the poppy appeal.
From Thursday 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December 2020 we will MOVE TO REMEMBER. As a detachment, we will be aiming to run or walk a combined total of 1111 miles. During at least one of our runs or walks, we will individually visit our local memorial. Visiting local memorials is an important part of Remembrance and ensuring the sacrifices made are never forgotten.
On Wednesday 11th November 2020 we all be individually taking part in the 11/11 CHALLENGE. You can join us! You can take on the challenge in a way that suits you, from baking 11 cupcakes or repurposing 11 items, to running up 11 flights of stairs or knitting 11 poppies for 11 friends – the choices are endless!
We'll be joining the nation for a 2 minutes silence on 11/11 and will be proud of our contribution to make a difference to those who need our help today.
