Story
As Guy and I celebrate 30 years in business together this summer, we have decided on a celebration with a difference!
With the launch of our new care division - NL Care - we have decided to use this opportunity to give back to the communities in which we work and join the fight against sepsis, by raising £30k for Sepsis Research FEAT.
Sepsis really is a 'silent killer'. It takes the lives of around 50,000 people in the UK every year - many of them either very young or over the age of 65. It can strike quickly and apparently indiscriminately. In reality, any of us could be affected at any time.
The GenOMICC study that Sepsis Research FEAT funds is truly world-leading. In the midst of the pandemic, the research team at the University of Edinburgh's Roslin Institute made discoveries that had global implications for the understanding and treatment of COVID-19. They need funding now to do the same for sepsis.
Between 16 and 30 June 2021 we will each be cycling virtually and possibly a bit competitively the distance from our original offices in West Hampstead to the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh - some 300 miles. We would love it if you felt able to join us on our journey and take part in some way, you can cycle, walk, run, jog, swim, hop, skip or skate with us to raise awareness and most important to help raise some much-needed funds!
It would be amazing if you could sponsor us along the way, just hit the donate bottom! Our aim is to raise at least £1,000 for every year in business - that's a minimum total of £30k!
Come and celebrate our 30th birthday with us, join our #nlsr300for30 challenge and help Sepsis Research FEAT and GenOMICC to #stopsepsisnow. Thank you so much!
