In a moment of misguided optimism, I have committed to run the London Marathon on 22 April 2007. This will be my first (and no doubt last) marathon and I will be running to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Teenage Cancer Trust (www.teenagecancertrust.org) is dedicated to providing the best possible care services to teenagers and young adults with cancer, in particular through building specialist units for this group in NHS hospitals.
