Fundraising for Care of Police Survivors
Story
Thank you so much for taking time to read of our JustGiving page. Care of Police Survivors (COPS UK) is an important charity which provides vital support for families at a critical time when a serving officer is killed.
We will once again join colleagues to ride the 180 miles to honour our fallen colleagues and raise funds that will enable those in need of support to receive it.
It takes a special person to be a police officer. Each and everyday we see and hear acts of heroism and sadly some of that results in the ultimate sacrifice.
COPS UK provides vital support to enable families to come to terms with what has happened and aid them to rebuild their lives.
This year will be even more emotional as the East Midlands Chapter, will be wearing an arm band in memory of our friend and former Chief Constable Simon Cole who sadly passed away on 30th March.
We would like to say we've had lots of time to train, sadly that is not the case, so we are expecting some tough climbs and aching limbs for sure.
We understand the cost of living increases are impacting on people and feel guilty seeking sponsorship, but if you are able to spare even the smallest amount that would be fantastic as it all adds up and will make a huge difference to someone’s life.
