Each year over forty cyclists from across the globe participate in a bike ride
from Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital city, to the war-devastated Jaffna
Peninsula. This year, we are fundraising, by riding a gruelling 475km from
Arugam Bay in the southeast, to Manipay Jaffna in the north.
The journey begins on the 1st of March and will end four days later, after
cycling for 475 km. During this time, the weather in Sri Lanka will be
extremely hot and humid; because of this, we would have to start cycling at
4:00 AM each day and stop by 11:00 AM.
We will use the donations and sponsorships we receive to purchase
a much-needed X-ray machine - SLRS 30 million or approx £75,000 and
provide valuable and continuous medical services to the local community.
