The Fair Earth Foundation CIO, a registered UK charity, runs a special challenge to climb Mt Teide, the third highest volcano in the world. This is a gruelling, arduous challenge but the view at night of the stars and the breaking dawn over the magnificent crater make it consistently the single best experience of our volunteers in Tenerife over the last thirty years- thousands have taken up the challenge!!

I personally, will be sending any money raised from this event to the wonderful charity the People's Health Trust, who work tirelessly to reduce health inequalities. Health inequalities in the UK are becoming worse every year, to the extent that in some places, the life expectancy for those of lower incomes is nearly 18 years younger than those of the highest incomes. This is the result of poorer access to healthcare, lack of opportunity, and awareness of how to create a healthy lifestyle or even poor housing which can hugely influence both psychological and physical health. It is so important that we work together to create equal opportunities for health for everyone.
