Date: Sunday 5 December 2021 at 10:30am
The Nine Lives Committee are raising funds for the Manchester and Leeds Children’s Oncology and Liver Wards who have been treating William Hamilton’s daughter Anna following her diagnosis of liver cancer. Over the past eleven months, Anna has received some excellent care and treatment and the family would like to show their
appreciation by raising much needed funds to help them upgrade their current medical equipment.
The Walk (6 miles)
The sponsored walk will commence from Chambers car park and will join the Bridgwater Canal at Dukes 92 heading towards Salford Quays. We will walk under Pomona Strand Tram stop and join Manchester Ship canal heading towards the Imperial War Museum. We will then
cross the Millenium Bridge onto the other side and spend some time at the Media City Christmas Markets enjoying some hot chocolate or a glass of mulled wine (or two). We will then head back along the Manchester Ship Canal walking past the Soapworks along the footpath. We will cross the Woden’s Footbridge heading back towards Castlefi eld and back to Chambers for more refreshments and gifts for the Children.
Thank you once again for your help and support.
9 St John Street Chambers are extremely proud to have our own charitable fund, Nine Lives. It is a unique and special feature of our Chambers that reflects our proactive and compassionate collective spirit. Since 2008, Nine Lives has supported local communities, activities, and projects across Greater Manchester. We have a successful long-standing partnership with Forever Manchester, who work with a wide range of community groups across the Greater Manchester area and in the last decade, together we have raised over £100,000 for community projects. Additionally, this year, Barnabus are our 'Charity of the Year' and we look forward to supporting their work tackling homelessness in our city.
