Hey Beautiful People,

For those who know me, you'll know that prior to a year ago, the gym and I were anything but best friends. A year on, that relationship has taken an incredible turn. I've found that exercise has helped me with my mental health and has anchored me through some of lives toughest moments. 

I've been intermittently running for about 3 years now and it's been one of the most challenging adventures of my life, both mentally and physically. I gave up serval times as I just couldn't seem to stay motivated or achieve my goals. Lockdown has given me the opportunity to pick up running again and explore some of Leicestershire's stunning countryside.

After recently hitting my targets of 5km, 10km and 15km, I've decided to run a HALF MARATHON (21.1km) on SUNDAY 28th JUNE 2020! This is a HUGE challenge for me, however I'm more focused now than ever before. I've been training for a couple of weeks now and have continued to stay dedicated through the heat, wind and rain. NOTHING IS STOPPING ME! 

NSPCC are the UK's leading children’s charity. They've been looking out for vulnerable children for over 130 years. They give a voice to children when no one is listening. They stand up for children across the UK by finding the best ways to prevent abuse and neglect. During lockdown, thousands of children have been exposed to vulnerable situations without any escape. For some children, school is their only safe haven and sometimes, it's where they eat their only meal of the day. It breaks my heart to think that children have been trapped in these unfortunate situations during this pandemic.

A £5 donation, will cover the cost of a childs call for help. My aim is to raise £500, supporting 100 children.

Let's work together to raise money for these little munchkins to give them the support they deserve. All donations, no matter how big or small will go such a long way and will be greatly appreciated beyond words.
