My wonderful mum friend Jo and I are joining forces again (after doing Total Warrior two years ago) to do a Fire Walk for Overgate Hospice. This involves walking across burning coals in bare feet (see picture below!).

This is a cause close to our hearts as we feeling strongly that everyone should be entitled to compassionate and dignified care at the end of their life. Sadly this is often not the case and it has been upsetting to see this during my career in healthcare.

Overgate Hospice provide free palliative and end of life care to adults suffering from life limiting illness in Calderdale and offers support to family and friends. We are really happy to be trying to raise some money for the amazing work that they do.
