Fundraising for Breast Cancer Now
I wasn't going to do it, I really wasn't. My training was a shambles, I wasn't enjoying it. It was painful, tiring, and I just couldn't face it.
But to no-one else's surprise but my own, I did the London Marathon again this year, deciding to go for it the week before. I enjoyed it and I finished (3h 34m, yay!), but I was so all over-the-place about it, I didn't get any fundraising going.
But it seems slightly odd not to raise money in such a fantastic event, with so many great charities needing cash. So I decided to retrospectively nudge people to make a small donation to the Breast Cancer Campaign. It's all a bit odd, since normally these things are an incentive to the runner and I've done the darn thing. But its an important charity and if a few of you just give a fiver, then it'll all add up and will all help. There's no obligation, many of you have generously donated in the past, but its a great cause.
And now the science bit below, thanks everyone... Nikki x
