We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Lewis is my 17 year old son, on December 29th 2021 he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This came totally out of the blue with no family history and turned his world upside down. In 2013 at 13 years old he had an accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury, the effects of this made his diabetes diagnosis hard to understand and remembering to test his blood and take his insulin was very difficult. He has since had a libre 2 sensor fitted and a lot of support from the young adult team which has helped no end. He still hates his injections, gets frustrated and fed up that he's not 'normal' and puts up with being poked ,prodded and jabbed all of the time so he wants to give back and raise money for Diabetes UK to one day find a cure. I know times are hard for everyone at the minute but if you could even spare £1 that would help towards his goal. He will be jumping on Sunday 21st August 2022 at Nottingham. Thank-you Nikki & Lewis
