Story
I am heading off on a family triathlon challenge soon, eeek!! to raise lots of money for Action Medical Research. This UK charity funds vital research to help find ways to reduce premature birth and help stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability. My first ever job was for this charity and, with your help, I would love to offer a little more support to them for the work that they continue to do for children.....
Distances
- Bike 22 miles – on an off-road route out of Coniston around its challenging terrain - 75% off-road and 25% on-road with some interesting technical sections. 2500ft ascent – so using all the gears!!
- Canoe 2 miles – navigating the course as a team on Coniston Water in 2-person open canoes rafted together - hopfully far enough away to avoid being beaten with an oar when we end up going round in circles !!
- Hike 5.5 miles – to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston – 800m ascent, and back before it gets dark !
