Story

Dear all,

Well... what an utterly amazing experience I had on Sunday at the London Marathon. I managed to get to that finish line (beating Gordon Ramsey I hear!!) with an official time of 5hrs 23mins.

I ran to 22 miles and then had to have a little walk for miles 22 and 23, but picked myself up and ran to the end from there. It was really hard going, pretty hot, and my poor feet didn't quite know what was going on, but I made it. The crowds were just incredible, not one bit of the course was empty and without support.

The best thing for me was seeing my family and friends along the way, it really did keep me going and I couldn't have done it without you all, so thank you - and to all those I knew were there but just couldn't spot along the way - it wasn't for lack of trying!

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated money to my cause - I really can't believe the generosity shown and I am so chuffed that I've pretty much doubled my target amount - it means so much to me. Anyone still wishing to sponsor me can still do so here.

Everyone is asking if I'd do it again... crossing the line on Sunday I thought 'definitely not'! But now that the aches and pains are easing and all I have are the great memories I'm thinking 'Who knows, maybe'...

THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!!!

Much love,
Nikki
