Story
My beautiful sister Lyndsey lost her short battle to bowel cancer at the young age of 44 just under a year ago . Our lives changed overnight on 5th November 2021 when Lyns lost her battle and will never be the same again.
Lyns was my whole world , Our glue that held the brothers and sisters together, I used to call her “ Sergeant Major” as she was so organised and always had an itinerary of events for us when we had plans .
My sister Lyns is greatly missed by myself , my sisters, brothers and Our parents . There is not a second of every day I don’t think about her .
Lyns left behind her lovely husband Den, her gorgeous children Grace (16) and Dylan (12) her step daughter Lauren and her grandson,Theo .. her sisters and brothers as well as our mum , dad, nieces and nephews and many friends who loves Lyns too.
Bowel cancer is the second biggest killer in the UK and as like Lyns many will not even have any symptoms until it is too late. I want to raise awareness around this. If you have any change in bowel habit, blood in your poo or generally not feeling your self go get checked. I know it can be uncomfortable to talk about poo but we all do it and it could just save a life.
As we know so many people and loved ones are affected by this cruel illness.
We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We’re here to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
