Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In a couple of months it will be one year since my amazing mum lost her long battle with cancer. She was a wonderful person to be around, who’s laughter and love infected everyone she met. She was a loyal and great friend to all, and an even better mother to me and my sister, as well as a fantastic wife to my dad. She was a warm presence and a caring teacher to her students she taught at school and her larger than life personality will leave a huge hole in my family’s, and friends’ lives.

While she was sick with breast cancer, the Salisbury Hospice did a brilliant job in ensuring the final months of mum’s life were comfortable, even during the strains of the pandemic; something I will be forever grateful for. That is why I have decided to try and complete my own triathlon to raise money for the Salisbury Hospice. The triathlon will take place on Saturday 19th of June and will consist of me swimming from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier, then embarking on bike ride from Bournemouth to Downton before finally completing the triathlon with a run from Downton to Salisbury Hospital, where I will finish the event at the Hospice. I know this year has been tough financially for many, but please donate whatever you can so I can give something back to this truly admirable organisation who did so much for my mum and my family. Thank you.
