It was our last minute decision to participate in the RBC Race for the Kids 2023, 5k family fun run which took place on October 7th at Hyde Park, London. Nihal and Sunaina were thrilled and excited knowing they could raise money for  a good cause, especially being their very first charity run. It turned out great, as the sun was a shining on the beautiful Autumn Saturday and we are so proud of our little champs who successfully completed the run.

The RBC Race for the Kids 2023 is raising funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, to help build a new Children's Cancer Centre. Even though the fundraising pages are usually setup before the event, last minute entires like ours need to spread the word a little later. Every week, around five children in the UK lose their lives to cancer. That’s five families who are faced with the worst news possible. GOSH cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers. Pioneering research is underway to find the most effective treatments and cures, which give hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH’s current cancer care facilities, and the hospital needs a new home to help deliver breakthrough therapies which will benefit children from all over the world.

A place designed with the needs of children at its heart. A place that will support every aspect of care, from diagnosis to remission and beyond. The money raised from RBC Race for the Kids 2023 will help build a new world-class centre that will treat the child, not just their disease. A gateway for children to go on to better futures, where they not only survive, but flourish.
