Story
At the start of April 2021 our beautiful Mum had a cough. Chest infection, Covid or even pneumonia was our diagnosis for our invincible, bulletproof Mum. Alas No! Mum had Cancer 😥. Seven weeks later on May 27th we said goodbye at home.
Getting Mum home was imperative. Thanks to Covid we didn’t get any hospital visits to hold her hand or offer words of comfort. We got two hazy days with Mum at home. Without the most amazing night nurses from the Irish Cancer Society Caroline & Olga we would have been lost. Their gentle support, guidance, kindness and empathy for our dying mother was saintly. They were the angels we didn’t know we needed during our worst nightmare.
Our fun loving Mum's dying guidance was clear "Be strong, stay close, no fuss and don’t grieve".
So we're trying to do our best and putting our best foot forward. Mum would have loved this no fuss sponsored walk to help others who don't know yet they will need this life altering service.
Thank you for supporting the Amazing Angels called ICS night nurses.
