London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I imagine that most of you know that my dear dad died of stroke in January 2003 and as such it is fitting for me to run for The Stroke Association.  I have set myself the target of raising £3500 for this cause, in the hope that any funds raised can be used to investigate further the cause of strokes, help families cope with the effects of strokes and ultimately to allow stroke prone victims to live long and healthy lives.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I would like to say that I am very grateful for all the support I received from my friends and family over the last few years and more recently in my preparations for the marathon, and finally to you, for sponsoring me!
