Story

Hi, I'm Nigel Kirkham and the picture on the left is me racing my Suzuki GSXR750 at Brands Hatch.  After having worked non-stop for 20 years, i'm finally taking some time out before I start a new job to fulfill a long-standing plan to ride my motorbike (a BMW 1200GS) from London to Marrakech in Morocco, then Southwards up in to the High Atlas Mountains, and back - a return distance of some 5,000 miles.  As I head through the European winter (hopefully to find sun in North Africa!) eating up the miles, I would be very grateful if you would consider donating anything you can afford to the Children's Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF), a charity which provides education, support to affected families, and pioneering research into childhood liver disease.  Why the CLDF?  Unfortunately our family got to know them well when my sister-in-law Valerie Sandford lost her son, Stephen, to liver disease when he was almost 4 years old.  So, it's a great cause, and it would be fabulous if you would give anything you can - it's easy to donate on-line (simply follow the steps below) or by calling the CLDF direct.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, and thanks in advance for your donation!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Children's Liver Disease Foundation will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
