I love running - been serious about it for over 5 years now.  This year I am raising money for a great local charity which is expanding throughout the South West and then nationally. The Godlen Oldies.

 

Golden Oldies brings pleasure to isolated and lonely folk, mainly but not exclusively, the elderly living in communal accommodation. Their method? A 'Goldies' volunteer comes along with a cd player and some song sheets and the rest is up to the assembled throng.  Singing often stirs wonderful, romantic memories from the past and this is why Goldies sessions are always moving. Even folk with memory loss problems inexplicably remember the words to 'Can't take my eyes off of you' by Andy Williams, where they first heard it and who they were with at the time!
