Fundraising for The Lily Foundation
£1,185
raised of £2,000 target
Monte Rosa #DOWHATYOUCANT, 3 September 2022
Motivated by the strength and unfaltering sense of humour of our youngest daughter Poppy, we as a family are committed to support The Lily Foundation and help find a cure for Mitochondrial Disease.

Story

The Monte Rosa Massif straddles the border between Italy and Switzerland, including the famous mountain towns of Zermatt and Gressonney. The Massif dominates the surrounding area with an impressive ten peaks over 4,000m high, we aim to climb 7 of them in 5 days. Some of the peaks are technical climbs and very physical. Things have just got very serious!!

Why? “In the end, I guess I won’t remember the time I spent working in the office or mowing the lawn, i’ll remember the epic adventures & experiences and the people I did them with.. “Hike more, worry less” (last quote stolen with pride).”

Motivation... with my fellow climbers from Samsung & Blue Square, we're looking to Raise £40k which will take us over the £100k total raised for the Lily Foundation.

The Lily Foundation is the UK's leading mitochondrial disease charity and the largest charitable funder of mitochondrial research in Europe. Their mission is to improve the lives of people affected by mitochondrial diseases, while working towards a future where mitochondrial diseases can be effectively treated or cured.

Our expedition starts on the 7th September and lasts for 1 week.

Thanks for reading.
