Just over a year ago I collapsed on the tennis court with a Cardiac Arrest. I nearly died (technically I did), spent 25 days in hospital and after wonderful care left the Derriford Hospital with a defibrilator implanted in my shoulder.

While recuperating in Torquay the Torbay Half Marathon was being run. I decided then that it would be my goal to run it this year giving me a year to to build the fitness and strengthen the heart. It is part of life returning to normal.

I feel I need to support the Heart Foundation as they have have supported me and to say thank you, so any donations are gratefully received.
