I've missed a year but once again, I have decided to join my ace biking buddies for yet another charity bike ride. All we are is a close group of mountainbike loving -  real ale drinkers & the Manchester to Blackpool ride being a local event, fits our needs perfectly - to help raise some well needed funds for The Christie. 

In 2014 we plan to make this an EPIC days ride by setting off from Bolton about 7am to ride to Old Trafford.  We then set off to Blackpool and without "being on a timer," we hope to get there in about 5 hours.  We'll then no doubt gorge on fish & chips before returning to Bolton for a proper, celebratory sesh on the ale. 

All in all, the ride will be in the region of 130 miles.  So its a BIG ride - certainly the bigest ever for me but the promise of a days riding with friends followed by a few ales in proper Bolton Pub didn't require much convincing on anyones part. ;o)

Seriously though, we've all experienced at first hand the devastating effect cancer has on peoples lives.  Our close family lost our dear old dad / grandad / father-in-law & true friend to everyone he ever met to Prostate Cancer in July 2008.  Cancer is horrible and dad was ACE  - an honest, true gentleman who did nothing but good during his life - he certainly didn't deserve what he had to endure - no one should!   So supporting The Christie is always and always will be a no-brainer for me....  Here's how you can help fight this nasty disease - by donating:
