I rode the London - Surrey 100 last year and it was a demanding but  inspiring challenge. However, it felt like a wasted opportunity to raise money for a good cause. When I found out that a neighbour was undertaking the 2014 ride on behalf of Moorfields Eye hospital - who save the sight of 20,000 children a year and help countless adults - I had found my reason for repeating the madness. This Foundation Trust hospital saved his sight and helped his daughter too. It needs outside funds to continue  its world class work so please donate and support my efforts in any way you can.
