Dragon Ride L'Etape Wales 2018 · 10 June 2018 ·
One year ago a group of my close friends started a friendly cycle ride on Saturday mornings: to get fitter and have a catch up over coffee on route. Our regular distance was 20-25k which at first was quite tough. Having no gear and no idea about road cycling when we started, I now have some gear and a little idea! After a miserable autumn/winter and a lack of getting out we decided to take on the challenge of the Dragon ride in Wales. With a few steeper climbs than we are used to in Hampshire! I will be taking on the 100km ride. In doing this challenge I wanted to support a worthy cause, which is why I chose Macmillan. This is a charity that helps many people who are suffering from cancer. I am sure we all know someone who has benefitted from their help. Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.
Thank you for your support
