Story
Around three years ago, I had a breakdown which led to a lengthy spell in hospital. On my discharge, I needed help and support to rebuild my life. Lancashire Mind were instrumental in getting me back on my feet by accessing life changing therapy for me, helping me to start to look for employment, putting me on various courses, helping me to start out as a volunteer for another wonderful organisation, and rebuilding my confidence - all the time walking beside me. I'm in a much better place, and in a stronger frame of mind now and I want to support Lancashire Mind in their efforts and also raise awareness of mental health issues. Thank you for reading my story and please donate if you can. I'm grateful for any support given.
Nigel.
Mental Elf has been running for a number of years and is our flagship fundraising event. This year we have made the difficult decision to not go ahead with a physical event for the health and safety of all our fundraisers, supporters, volunteers and staff. Lancashire Mind has lost and continues to lose significant income through cancelled fundraising events and challenges due to COVID-19. We need the support of people across Lancashire now more so than ever. We want to continue to be there for individuals and communities, supporting people of all ages to We support people of all ages to: learn about mental health and wellbeing, understand and look after their own and each other's mental health, take steps to maintain and improve their wellbeing, increase their ability to cope when times get tough and live independently in a safe and stable environment. Please donate today, support our amazing fundraisers and become a part of the wellbeing revolution.
