My dear old Dad Alan spent his final few days in St Peter’s in 2015. It was a such dignified place to share some private moments in a really kind & caring environment surrounded by wonderfully sympathetic carers going about their duties in a calm efficient manner. Everyone is made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. It’s so easy to forget that this is all provided by charitable donations. I always wanted to repay their generosity somehow and when cycling became a hobby last year I decided for my 60th birthday to ask people to sponsor me on their annual Tour de Bristol cycle event with some friends. We have so far raised over £6000 and it feels like the best Birthday present ever. So I’m going to continue again this year and beyond. This year 2021 our team consists of me, Alan, Nige, & Andrew.
