I will be walking the second half option (30 miles) through Sussex and over the South Downs to Brighton Racecourse in support of the new Urology Investigation Unit being located at Princess Royal Hospital. 

The new diagnostic unit will significantly improve ‘patient pathway’ compared to the current process. Patients will be seen by a consultant and then immediately redirected within the unit for any follow up Investigation(s) deemed necessary. This will improve care and reduce delays in organising treatment.

Conditions investigated by the unit include bladder, prostate and testicular cancers, urinary tract stones, incontinence and infections.

I have gained an insight into the fantastic  work undertaken by the doctors and nurses at Princess Royal Hospital, through my volunteering work. I wish to help improve patient experience of this new unit even further, by raising extra funds for equipment purchases through my Ultra Challenge.
