We provide free expert care and support to people affected by life-limiting illness

Story

I feel  honoured to be running and raising money for Willen Hospice, in this years London Marathon. I will be running in memory of my Dad, Bob Burdett. He passed 3 years ago after battling Cancer. His fight was during The height of Covid times, which made the whole thing even harder to deal with. He actually passed in MK Hospital, and never benefitted from being in Willen. Like many though, I have seen the amazing care first hand that this facility delivers, when my Nan Emily Clay, and my cousin Dave Richman were cared for there by their amazing staff in their final weeks.

I am sure most people reading this will have benefitted from the great care and amazing facilities at Willen, or would know others that have. So if you would help me in raising as much money as possible for this great local charity and raising a glass to absent friends and family.

Willen Hospice’s care touches thousands of local people every year. We give comfort, ease pain and reduce anxiety for patients and their loved ones. Every pound given makes a difference - as it enables us to do more for more people across Milton Keynes when and where they need us. We receive less than a quarter of our funding from the NHS, which means the rest is donated or fundraised for by amazing local people. Which is why your support is so important and so appreciated – from everyone we help, thank you.
