Story
On 15th June 12 of us will be cycling 54 miles from London to Brighton, to support the British Heart Foundation and the incredible work they do.
In my whole life I've probably never cycled 54 miles, so you might wonder what on earth possessed me to do this.
The answer is simple. Five years ago, when I started university, I was lucky enough to meet a very special young woman named Amy Smullen. Little did I know at the time, but five years before we met Amy had open-heart surgery which saved her life. Without research funded by the BHF this surgery may not have been possible.
We are cycling from London to Brighton to celebrate 10 years since Amy's successful surgery. While putting ourselves through this ordeal, we would to raise as much money as possible for the BHF to ensure they can help other people suffering from heart disease.
Thanks for your support.
