I’m excited to announce that I will be running the 2023 London Marathon on April 23, 2023, for The Brain Tumor Charity in the UK. The Brain Tumor Charity’s mission is to unite the brain tumor community to discover a cure while delivering effective treatments for patients. This mission is something that’s incredibly personal to me. 

It’s close to my heart because I live with a brain tumor. I was diagnosed in July 2021 with a large Acoustic Neuroma tumor. After a grueling 14-hour surgery, my surgeon and his team successfully removed half of the tumor while avoiding cutting my facial nerves. 

I lost 50% of my hearing and underwent months of a difficult recovery having to teach myself how to walk, talk and see again with the help of therapy. Along my journey, I connected with the Brain Tumor Charity and an inspiring community of survivors. I learned that every day is a blessing and the importance of giving back to others. I’ve committed to the goal of running all 6 World Major Abbott Marathons (Boston, NY, CHI, London, Berlin, Tokyo) as a way to raise awareness and give back to something that’s near and dear to my heart.

The funds raised through my marathon efforts will fund best-in-class medical research to develop and deliver new innovative treatments for brain tumor patients.
