Story
Psoriatic arthritis has affected me since I was a teenager, just getting worse as I’ve got older. My sheer stubborn determination means that I won’t allow it to keep me down, even when I’m at my worse and struggling to walk even a couple of steps.
I’m lucky to live in a country where charities like Versus Arthritis put loads of effort into researching new treatments. This is literally what keeps me going. I wouldn’t be working and would be too fatigued and in too much pain to enjoy life without these medical breakthroughs.
My current treatment has allowed me to feel my fittest in many years, which I put to great use during lockdown to try and improve my ability to walk. Now is the time to enhance my efforts still and use it to payback the people that are keeping me going. That’s why I’ve decided to embark on my biggest challenge and complete the London Marathon in October 2022. I aim to finish it in under 13 hours, so it really will be a test of my endurance.
Please sponsor me so that together we can overcome the pain, isolation and fatigue of arthritis.
