Fundraising for Weston Hospicecare
Thank YOU for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I’m a changed woman. I’ve given up the fags and the booze* in order to run the Bristol 10K on May 15th 2011. I've never done a big race like this before, and whilst to many of you avid athletes out there this may not seem a great distance, I think it will be a real achievement for me (I'm getting scared now) so I’m asking you to donate a few of your hard earned pennies to an incredibly worthy cause.
As many of you already know my Mum has spent the last three years fighting a very aggressive form of breast cancer, which upon diagnosis, had already spread to multiple sites in her body. I believe that it is down to Weston General Hospital’s facilities and staff that have helped Mum keep fighting through to today and I am very keen to help raise money towards local charities that help support cancer patients and their families. Weston Hospicecare seemed the obvious choice.
The hospice was established to provide palliative care for people living with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. From humble beginnings in 1989 Weston Hospicecare now boasts a wide range of services including a Day Hospice, Hospice at Home and a 10 bedded In-Patient Unit. The Hospice cares for around 1300 people and their families each year. However, as a charity they rely upon donations to raise the £2m required to run the hospice every year.

If you’d like to help please just donate a small amount, whatever you can, and I promise I will sweat just that little bit more on the day. JUST FOR YOU. Also feel free to pass this on to anyone else who may be interested in helping.
Big loves to everyone, thanks for reading!
