Story

Thank you for checking out my JustGiving page - PLEASE DONATE!!

We should be celebrating mum's 76th birthday on the 17th February but instead, heartbreakingly I will be marking the anniversary of losing her, 4 incredibly sad years ago. She died just 5 days after her 72nd birthday at The Martlets and this is why I am running to help raise funds for a charity very close to mine and mums heart. I will never forget the week my mum had during her stay at The Martlets. Somehow she was back to her normal "pain free" self and more importantly, she was eating & laughing with us and we created memories which will stay with me forever. We were in a secure, safe bubble. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. My mum hadn't been pain free for many months and I will never truly understand how they made this possible but believe it was due to all the love and support they gave my mum (and us) which in turn made us feel so safe and cared for.

My mum was so brave and so strong until the very end, so the least I can do is run a little race in her name and raise some pennies for a fantastic local charity.

No matter how small or large your donation is, it all helps and I will be extremely appreciative of any amount just so that I reach my target and keep my mums memory alive. Please come along and support me on the big day, I really will be bricking it!!!

Many thanks!
