Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I've chosen Tenovus as the charity to run for as a few of my closest friends have lost loved ones to cancer.  You've probably heard of the 'pink ribbon' breast cancer awarness for women, you may have heard of the 'purple ribbon' to raise awareness amongst men, 'Take a Leek' is about raising public awareness of prostate cancer...Tenovus are responsible for all these campaigns and more, raising funds for research, cancer prevention, looking at treatments and care for the people.  Did you know 46 people a day in Wales are told they have cancer...I was shocked!  I want to do my bit to help!

The Marathon is Sunday the 26th of April 2009.  It's my first one (and probably my last!)  I'm excited and nervous, however, its always been on 'one of my things to do' list...so I'm going for it!  I ran the half marathon back in October and as I hobbled across the finishing line I thought to myself...'in April I'm going to have to go round AGAIN!'  Well, its plenty of training for me and hopefully sponsors from you!
