Story
Hi everybody,
2nd April is World Autism Awareness Day and I'll be setting off on a Coast to Coast walk with the brilliant team from Autism Angels, a Yorkshire based charity that helps struggling children and their families.
We'll be starting from Carnforth with two therapy horses and will walk approx 150 miles to reach Bridlington on 12th April with families and children joining us along the way.
Autism Angels is a fantastic charity that has done incredible work with young people in Yorkshire over the years. They’ve created a place of respite for children who are struggling with feeling different in the world, unable to cope with school and can't make or sustain friendships. Sometimes those feelings are overwhelming to the point where they don't feel able to carry on.
Autism Angels helps children and families turn their lives around. They give exhausted parents and carers the support they need and get the whole family back on track so they can thrive.
The one-to-one sessions and the horse therapy work that Autism Angels do has incredible results. Their work is lifesaving.
If you’ve got 5 minutes, the video on the Autism Angels website (www.autismangels.co.uk) shows the positive impact of their work better than I can describe.
Thank you very much,
Nicky
