Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Just to update you...I completed the walk. All 18kms of it. I was fine for the first leg of the course and had a quick rest at Felstead school, the halfway point.
The second leg was horrendous, mostly through cornfields which was really hard going on my hips. This is when I started to tire but the marshalls were all lovely and at each checkpoint, I was asked if I wanted a rest. I found this ratehr strange until I found that the First Responders had sent a message ahead asking them to keep an eye on me. At one point I even had my blood tested for my sugar level. With the help of Hellen and Maria who were with me and also Naomi and her friends who met us along the way, I would not have reached the last few kms where I caught up with Carol and the rest of the team. All together they spurred me on and eventually I made it. Thanks to all! xxx
This is my first sponsored walk since being at school... a BIG challenge for me personally but I am doing it for all the family and friends I have lost or who have suffered through this vicious illness so, please, give whatever you can.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Farleigh Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you all sooooo much! x
