Story
The past few months and especially weeks have been extreamly hard ones for our family. On May 3rd 2012, our fantastic Uncle lost his fight with Cancer. Having only known for a matter of days that he wouldn't survive, he was gone, now at rest.
I sat with him, alone, on the Wednesday morning and made him a promise (well, several promises) that I would do this run and make him proud. A promise is a promise....therefore I WILL complete this run and raise as much money as possible.
So on September 16th Liam and I will be running the Great North Run in memory of my Uncle and aiming to raise as much money for Macmillan as we can. During my Uncle's final days, the nurses who work for Macmillan were such a huge support to both us and him. The most horrible and confusing time was made easier and less painful knowing that there was someone there who understood.
