The 5 x 50 Challenge · 12 March 2013

Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a British institution. It’s a time when people across the country get together and fundraise at home, school and work to support people living incredibly tough lives, and has raised over £1.3 billion to date.

Story

For those of you that know me, committing to any sort of exercise programme is a challenge. So, what could I do that would make me stick to it?  I know, I'll have to do something that people sponsor me for, then I feel a responsibility to them.

And so the search started for a suitable charity challenge - parachuting, a marathon, a long distance cycle ride, or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro?  And then I came across the 5x50 Challenge.

The 5x50 Challenge launched in 2012 as a charity challenge encouraging people to run, walk, jog or cycle 5k (or 30 minute exercise equivalent) every day for 50 days with the aim of changing exercise habits for a lifetime. The 2013 Challenge will kick off on on Sunday 31st March

I'd really appreciate your help in raising money for this fantastic cause, and by donating you leave me with no choice to complete the challenge, and my own personal challenge to get fit.
