Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Dementia is something, my siblings, my parents & I have lived through. My mam died in May 2014, having suffered from Alzheimer’s for a number of years. She received wonderful care in the nursing home where she died peacefully with us all around her. Unfortunately, dad is now suffering this same awful illness & we as a family are devastated to be living through it once again.

Research is ongoing into finding a cure,  or at least ways of prolonging the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s. Any donations you can make to this hugely worthy cause will be greatly appreciated.
