Story
Bonjour mes amis!!
If you know me, then you'll know that I don't usually do things the easy way, it just appears to be my way!
So... when I received a poster in with my WDM (World Development Movement) monthly campaign update stuff advertising for people to take part in a London - Paris Cycle Ride this August, I thought, 'now that sounds like a fun challenge. Raising money and doing so by cycling through France, I think I'll give it a go!'
Hence, this handy webpage to help me raise much needed funds so that my charity of choice - WDM - can continue its work at fighting injustice against the World's Poor. I'm not going to ram the charity stuff down your throats, just know that I consider it to be a worthwhile cause and that's who I'm fundraising for. Check out their website if you want to know about their work. www.wdm.org.uk
I would very much appreciate it therefore, if you would sponsor me to do this huge bike ride (which is gonna involve LOADS more training than I was expecting!)
Just so I'm not pulling the wool over your eyes, some of this fee will inevitably go towards the cost of a bed for the night for my tired bones and sore bum, but the large majority of it will go straight to the charity, along with a GiftAid donation if you are a UK taxpayer. See below for a little standard spiel from the JustGiving people, RE: online payments etc.
Thank you very much for helping me reach my target, you have proven your worth as a good friend and as an even better human being!!! Your fellow, less fortunate neighbours on this planet will be eternally grateful. Like the Toy Story aliens.
Peace out! xxx
