Story
50 miles. 2 days. On foot. It's an incredibly hard challenge, but every step I take and every penny I raise will support the brain tumour community. I'm raising funds for the charity, brainstrust. Throughout the pandemic, brainstrust has seen a increase in the need for their services - people who have heard the words 'you have a brain tumour' and are in desperate need of support. You can read more about their vital work at brainstrust.org.uk. I've chosen to take on this epic challenge to help beat brain cancer, and I'd be grateful for any support you are able to give. Your kindness and generosity will help to ensure that brainstrust can continue to be there for the 60,000 people affected by the devastation of a brain tumour diagnosis here in the UK. Thank you!
In Feb 2019 after an eye test I found out I had two Meningiomas, benign brain tumours but one aka Wilson was blinding me. 9.5 hours of brain surgery and he was gone, sadly only to return august 2020 bringing with him three more tumours. Currently waiting for Gamma Knife but always trying to stay positive and active. Brainstrust have helped me and my family from day one, support, information and counselling so now I want to support them.
