For the last ten years I have always said "I'd like to do a 10k" and that's as far as I ever got; the sheer thought of running for more than a minute, to be quite honest, scared me!

This year however is different. One of my very close friends and her husband have gone through the most difficult time of their lives and the strength that they have shown is quite simply remarkable. Their beautiful little girl was born on the 3rd August but after the most incredible battle she sadly lost her fight and passed away on the 11th September. The love, support, equipment, care and dedication that the Neonatal Unit in Leeds provided to the family was exceptional.

If I can raise funds in memory of an inspirational little girl and help another family that might need that same level of support then running 10k is the least I can do. If you are in a position to donate, then please, no matter how large or small, help support this fantastic charity.
