Story
This charity means a lot to both me and Rosie personally, without the help line support from the team at meningitis now I would of not known how to cope.
If we can raise awareness and help out other parents that would be amazing.,
Nicola - I am not in the best of health my self- I am turning 50 this year and this will be my third and last great north run. I am setting this personal challenge despite being told that due to my health and injuries occurred I would not be able to run again, So I’m really aiming to complete this run to prove to myself and and the doctors I can achieve anything!
So please get behind me and the other runners and let’s raise as much awareness and money as we can!
Rosie - This will be my second great north run. The first one was back in 2016 and it was very last minute. I was always going to attend to support my family and one of the team members could not run for the event THE NIGHT BEFORE! I had done no training had no running clothes and even had to wear trainers that belong to someone else that didn’t even fit! I managed to complete the race and it was the hardest thing I’d ever DONE but I’m determined to work hard to prove to my self that I can do it again!
Andy- this will also be my second great north run. The first time I left my training to the last minute and was very disappointed with my time. So this time I am setting a personal Challenge to beat my time and focus on my training to complete the race knowing I’ve given it my all! Raising money and awareness for this charity will mean a lot to me as a parent knowing if I can help other parents spot the signs for this disease and save a life.
