Story
❤️ This page is in memory of Danielle who passed away on 29th September 2020, She was one of the strongest, bravest and most resilient people that any of us have ever known. It was a complete privilege to have had her in our lives.
Danielle had fought Leukaemia and many other issues from the age of five but with the love and support of her incredible Mum Wendy and cuddles from her beloved dog Marty she always lived her life to the fullest.
Danielle had a smile for everyone and thinking of others was always top on her list of priorities, she spent many years volunteering, she trained with Saint Johns ambulance, she organised and took part in lots of events raising money for children and youths who had been diagnosed with cancer.
In 2008 Danielle was awarded the spirit of Corby award for her fundraising efforts and typically last year turned her 30th birthday into an opportunity to raise money by throwing a ‘30th birthday fundraising weekend’ where her family and friends popped in and bought cakes and sweets and donated money. She was amazing!
The money Danielle raised on her birthday was donated to Youth Cancer Trust. A charity close to her heart and of which she was also an ambassador. Youth Cancer Trust is a non profit organisation in Bournemouth that provides support and free activity holidays for young people diagnosed and living with cancer or any malignant disease, from anywhere in the UK and the Irish Republic, or who are patients of any U.K. hospital. Put simply, they provide a safe place where young cancer patients can be together to enjoy a fun time away from hospital, doing what young people normally do.
We hope, if you are able, that you could join us in donating. The sum raised will go directly to Youth Cancer Trust in Danielle’s name. Danielles mum has also asked that a donation could be made instead by those who wish to send flowers.
In the words of Eeyore (because Danielle was the biggest Disney fan in the world and because they are words we truely believe she lived by)
