Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our team Joshua's Angels will be trying to raise as much money as we can on this our 3rd and last year doing the cycle and we are hoping to raise loads of money in the process

Nicola's son Joshua was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome when he was 8 weeks old, he has since undergone many challenges including heart surgery and will continue to throughout his life. His happy nature and smile helps to keep his family going.

Williams Syndrome is a rare disorder that affects approx 1 in 25,000. Like Down's Syndrome it is caused by an abnormality in chromosomes, and shows a wide variation in ability from person to person. It is a non-hereditary syndrome which occurs at random and can effect brain development in varying degrees, combined with some physical effects or physical problems. These range from lack of co-ordination, slight muscle weakness, possible heart defects and occasional kidney damage.

The Foundation is run for parents by parents. There are no paid fund-raisers and funds go directly to research and welfare.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving –they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you
