As usual, I’m HUGELY disorganised and I’ve done no training but in the 8th September I’m doing (attempting) the Thames Path Challenge to raise some money for the Hospice that looked after Dad.
As many of you know I lost my hero, my Dad, in June 2017. He fought cancer for 3 years and for the last 3 months he was in the Lewis Manning Hospice in Poole. I don’t think I can ever repay them for what they did for us as a family. The care Dad had there was incredible - we couldn’t have wished for him to be in a better place to be at the end. From the Doctors to the cleaners we were all treated with love, compassion, kindness and respect. Dad was looked after with dignity and we were supported 24/7. The staff there became part of our lives.
A hospice like Lewis Manning relies on fundraising and donations to provide the care and quality it does. Please help me support them and in some way repay them for everything they did for us - someday it may be somebody you love needing them.
